Grand Power M4M1 for Slovak military
Grand Power is a recognized Slovak firearms manufacturer that has established its presence primarily in the sporting market with semi-automatic pistols (such as the K100) and pistol-caliber carbines under the Stribog name. The manufacturer has, however, decided to significantly expand its lineup with additional long gun categories, introducing its own AR-15 line, the ARAQ carbines, and the R308 precision rifles.
A major milestone in the company’s development is the production of the new standard-issue rifle of the Slovak Armed Forces, the M4M1, chambered in 5.56×45mm NATO.

The M4M1 is an AR-15 family carbine, sharing many components with that popular standard. The biggest difference is the introduction of a short-stroke gas piston system, popular among European customers. The carbine features a free-float handguard (Picatinny rails and M-LOK system) and ambidextrous controls, and is intended to eventually replace the obsolete vz. 58 carbines chambered in 7.62×39mm.
Also on display were Grand Power’s original designs ‒ one of them being the ARAQ, chambered in 7.62×39mm. This is an automatic carbine that combines the AR-10-style layout with a short-stroke piston system and the use of standard AK magazines. The weapon is a response to the needs of those customers who are looking for a new firearm while still holding stocks of Soviet-type ammunition.
The second original Grand Power design is the R308 precision rifle, chambered in 7.62×51mm NATO. The design is based on AR-10 solutions, distinguished however by an adjustable short-stroke piston system.
The individual Grand Power designs are offered both in fully automatic military versions and semi-automatic sporting configurations. Among these is the Stribog, also offered as a submachine gun.
Availability in Poland
Grand Power is also present in Poland, primarily in the sporting market. Currently, the distributor ‒ RP ARMS ‒ offers Polish shooters a wide cross-section of the Slovak manufacturer’s lineup.
