On Friday, July 3, 2026, the Internal Security Agency (ABW) announced that as a result of an investigation conducted by the ABW Delegation in Olsztyn under the supervision of the Olsztyn District Prosecution Service, an indictment was filed on June 30 with the Olsztyn District Court against Filip Z., Maciej Z., Paweł Cz., and Jakub N., who were charged with, among other things, planning to commit a terrorist act, possession and manufacture of explosives for that purpose, and public promotion of Nazi, racist, and fascist ideology and political systems, while simultaneously praising and inciting the commission of terrorist murders and hatred on the grounds of national, ethnic, and racial differences. ABW had announced the detentions on June 3, 2025.

As a result of months of intensive and multi-threaded operational and investigative activities, it was possible to broadly identify individuals suspected of involvement in terrorist activity and to secure evidence of key importance to the ongoing case. The Internal Security Agency’s earlier operational findings were confirmed in the course of the investigation.
The accused men were alleged not only to have promoted and praised terrorist crimes and disseminated content capable of facilitating their commission, but also to have undertaken preparatory activities. The evidence gathered indicates that their activities included the acquisition and analysis of combat and instructional training materials relating to methods of carrying out attacks and the modus operandi of perpetrators of acts of terrorism such as Anders Breivik, Brenton Tarrant, and Timothy McVeigh. For training purposes, they attended shooting ranges, acquired airsoft weapon replicas, constructed their own firearm suppressors, and practiced military-tactical activities in open terrain and enclosed spaces.
The men’s activities were inspired and motivated by extremist ideologies, in particular those of a radical nature accepting violence as a method of action. Their activities also included the accumulation of materials and substances that could be used to manufacture dangerous materials, including explosives.
With regard to some of the alleged offenses, the statutory maximum penalty is imprisonment of up to 10 years.
