On March 20, 2026, in the city of Pardubice in the Czech Republic, an arson attack targeted a production hall belonging to LPP Holding, a defense-sector company cooperating with Israeli firm Elbit Systems in the production of drones. The incident caused a fire that resulted in significant damage to industrial infrastructure and property of substantial value. Responsibility for the act was claimed by the extremist organization The Earthquake Faction, which cited ideological motives and an intent to influence the activities of states and business entities cooperating with Israel’s defense industry.
On March 24, 2026, officers of the Internal Security Agency (ABW) detained Polish citizen Aleksandra Ż., followed on March 26 by the detention of Polish citizen Filip B.
Based on evidence gathered by ABW, the Mazovian Branch of the Department for Organized Crime and Corruption of the National Prosecutor’s Office in Warsaw opened an investigation into assistance allegedly provided by Polish citizens in causing the fire at the production hall of LPP Holding, based in Pardubice, Czech Republic, a fire that endangered property on a large scale. The act was considered terrorist in nature and was intended to intimidate many people and to force the authorities of the Czech Republic to cease the production of drones for the Israeli military.
In the course of the investigation, the prosecutor brought charges against the detainees of aiding and abetting the commission of a prohibited act consisting of causing an incident threatening property on a large scale. The suspects did not plead guilty. On March 26 and 27, 2026, the District Court for the Capital City of Warsaw ordered their pretrial detention for three months. The case remains ongoing.
