On Tuesday, October 21, 2025, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced on social media that the Internal Security Agency (ABW), in cooperation with other services, had recently detained eight individuals in various parts of the country suspected of preparing acts of sabotage.

“The Internal Security Agency (ABW), in cooperation with other services, has in recent days detained eight individuals in various parts of the country suspected of preparing acts of sabotage. The investigation is ongoing. Further operational activities are underway,” said Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
“The cases mentioned by Prime Minister Donald Tusk concern reconnaissance of military facilities and elements of critical infrastructure, preparation of means for carrying out acts of sabotage, and direct execution of attacks. The ABW is working closely with the Military Counterintelligence Service (SKW), the Police, and the Prosecutor’s Office,” clarified Tomasz Siemoniak, Minister and Member of the Council of Ministers, Coordinator of Special Services.
“Currently, actions are being carried out by the relevant services. According to the information we have, the activities in question involved sabotage operations, including preparations for arson and attempts to disrupt the functioning of critical infrastructure.”
“For several months, we have observed increased interest in such facilities, which is part of broader destabilization efforts. However, the services are responding immediately, acting very effectively, and most such attempts are being thwarted at an early stage. Poland remains vigilant, and our security services are well-prepared and proactive in neutralizing threats,” stated Minister of Interior and Administration Marcin Kierwiński.
“The ABW has detained eight individuals suspected of preparing acts of sabotage in Poland. Against this backdrop, I appeal to PiS politicians to refrain from hate-driven politics that divide Poles. The only ones who benefit from such irresponsible actions are those who seek to destroy our Homeland,” the Minister of Interior and Administration added later.

ABW zatrzymała 8 osób podejrzanych o przygotowanie aktów dywersji w Polsce. Na tym tle apeluje do polityków PiS o powstrzymanie polityki nienawiści służącej podziałowi Polaków. Pożytek z tak nieodpowiedzialnych działań mają jedynie ci, którzy chcą zniszczyć naszą Ojczyznę.
