On Monday, July 6, 2026, Deputy Minister of National Defence Stanisław Wziątek took part in the opening of the multifunctional Military Airport Building at the 12th Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Base (12. BBSP) in Mirosławiec.

The modern facility brings together in one place the services responsible for the operation of the airfield, including air traffic control, logistics, technical support, meteorological services, and the Airfield Rescue and Firefighting Service. The investment significantly increases the safety of flight operations and improves cooperation among all services responsible for supporting aviation activities.
During the ceremony, Deputy Minister Stanisław Wziątek emphasized the importance of investing in modern military infrastructure.
“We are building modern Armed Forces not only by purchasing state-of-the-art equipment, but also by developing infrastructure that provides soldiers with safe and professional conditions for carrying out their daily tasks. This is an investment in state security and the effectiveness of our armed forces.”
The Deputy Minister also highlighted the role of the 12th Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Base in the state security system.
“The dynamic development of the capabilities of the Polish Armed Forces requires modern support infrastructure. This facility will serve both soldiers and the safety of all flight operations conducted from Mirosławiec. I congratulate everyone who contributed to the implementation of this important investment.”
The event was attended by representatives of the leadership of the Polish Armed Forces, personnel and soldiers of the 12th UAV Base, representatives of military institutions, the project contractor, and invited guests.
