While soldiers and employees of the Armament Agency negotiate contracts, hold talks with suppliers of military equipment, and supervise the execution of signed agreements, deliveries and acceptances of armaments, vehicles, and other elements of military equipment continue on a regular basis.
This is also the case with the new batch of 43 MS-20 Daglezja-S support bridges contracted in 2023. Under this most recent contract, the contractor – OBRUM, part of the Polish Armaments Group (PGZ) – has delivered six bridges so far, with additional units set to be handed over to the military in the near future.
The MS-20 bridges enable the rapid crossing of terrain and water obstacles up to 20 meters wide, such as rivers, canals, or destroyed sections of infrastructure. The system allows for the efficient restoration of troop mobility, providing crossings for heavy equipment – both tracked and wheeled vehicles.

According to available information, the first two bridges were delivered to the contracting authority on December 29, 2025. The third was subsequently transferred to the 16th Orzysz Sapper Regiment, and the fourth to the 18th Sapper Regiment. The Polish Armed Forces have now received another pair. According to the contract schedule, two more sets are to be delivered by the end of the first quarter of 2026. By the end of the year, the customer is expected to receive another ten sets. In the second half of 2025, the company also delivered procedural simulators for training in the operation of the bridge.
Between 2025 and 2028 OBRUM is to deliver 43 MS-20 Daglezja support bridges to the Polish Armed Forces, in accordance with a contract worth approximately 767 million PLN gross, signed on October 11, 2023.
Alongside the ongoing deliveries, OBRUM has introduced modifications to the MS-20 bridges, adapting them to the latest operational requirements. The modernization program included, among other things, improvements to the control systems of the actuator assemblies, increasing the equipment’s reliability and functionality. On March 21, 2025, it was also reported that the PM-20 bridge span of the Daglezja bridge had received certification for increased load capacity to MLC85/133.
The MS-20 Daglezja-S is a support bridge mounted on a truck chassis. The set consists of a Jelcz C662D.43 6×6 tractor unit, a hydraulically driven 6×6 transport semi-trailer, a bridge-laying unit, and the PM-20 bridge span. It enables crossings over water or terrain obstacles up to 20 meters wide. The total weight of the MS-20 support bridge system is 47.9 metric tons, and the maximum speed on paved roads is 80 km/h. The system is operated by only two soldiers, a driver and an operator.
The PM-20 span is transported on a dedicated transport semi-trailer. Its width is adjustable and measures 3 meters in the transport position on the trailer and 4 meters in the operational position over an obstacle. The length of the span in the folded configuration is 12.5 meters, and 25.5 meters when deployed with ramps. The time required to deploy and retrieve the span is less than 30 minutes, allowing the system to reach full operational crossing readiness.
Before the implementation of the current contract, the Polish Armed Forces operated 12 MS-20 Daglezja support bridges. The prototypes were developed by OBRUM between 2005 and 2010. Production began two years later in cooperation with Bumar-Łabędy Mechanical Works, with two sets delivered in December of the same year. A further ten sets, under a contract worth 70.68 million PLN gross, were ordered on March 4, 2015. Deliveries, completed with delays, were finalized in August 2017. The bridges were delivered to units in Brzeg, Krosno Odrzańskie, Stargard, Chełmno, and Nisko.
Once the current contract is completed, the military will operate a total of 55 MS-20 Daglezja bridges (it is worth noting that on October 31, 2018, the then Armaments Inspectorate initiated proceedings for the procurement of a batch of ten bridges, but the procedure was canceled on September 9, 2019).
Four export MS-20S bridges were delivered in May 2021 to an undisclosed foreign customer, later revealed through photographic material to be Vietnam.
