Eurosatory 2026: Polish Armaments Group concludes show with new deals and cooperation agreements

The Polish Armaments Group (PGZ) concluded Eurosatory 2026 in Paris with a landmark joint venture deal, new cooperation agreements, and a strong showing of export products across 11 member companies.

This year’s edition of the Paris defense show was attended by 11 companies from the PGZ Capital Group – Bydgoskie Zakłady Elektromechaniczne Belma, Fabryka Broni Łucznik-Radom, Huta Stalowa Wola, Mesko, Ośrodek Badawczo-Rozwojowy Centrum Techniki Morskiej, PCO, PIT-Radwar, Zakład Produkcji Specjalnej Gamrat, Zakłady Chemiczne Nitro-Chem, Zakłady Mechaniczne Tarnów, and Zakłady Metalowe Dezamet.

The most significant event was the signing of the Mesko–Eurenco agreement and the establishment of a Franco-Polish joint venture responsible for producing qualified modular charge systems and triple-base propellants for 155mm artillery ammunition. The schedule calls for the joint venture to begin operations in mid-2028 and reach full production capacity no later than early 2029. Planned production will cover hundreds of thousands of modular charge systems annually and will be one of the most important elements of PGZ’s strategy for achieving production and technological sovereignty in the domain of key 155mm artillery ammunition (Historic deal at Eurosatory 2026: Poland builds strategic independence for 155mm ammunition).

For the first time at Eurosatory, the Universal Modular Tracked Platform (UMPG) was shown integrated with the Slovak unmanned TURRA-30 V10 turret. This is an export proposal for the chassis familiar from the Borsuk infantry fighting vehicle and a strong signal of Huta Stalowa Wola’s capability to integrate its platforms with partner solutions. The second Polish premiere in Paris was also from HSW — the 4×4 Waran Multi-Role Tactical Vehicle in a variant with a Remotely Operated Weapon Station (ROWS) armed with a 30mm cannon (Eurosatory 2026: HSW with export Borsuk and Waran with 30-mm RCWS).

PGZ’s presence at Eurosatory was an opportunity to conclude key agreements with foreign partners. The Polish Armaments Group and the French organization GICAT (Groupement des Industries françaises de Défense et de Sécurité terrestres et aéroterrestre) signed a cooperation agreement covering, among other things, mutual exchange of experience, the establishment of contacts between Polish and French defense industry entities, and an exchange of views in the area of their roles as defense industry integrators. The agreement was signed by PGZ President Adam Leszkiewicz and GICAT President Emmanuel Levacher. GICAT is a French trade organization founded in 1978, bringing together nearly 480 entities — large capital groups, mid-sized companies (ETI), small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and — since the launch of its GENERATE startup acceleration program in 2017 — 70 young startups. The member companies and institutions representing the French defense and security industry carry out a broad range of industrial, research, service, and advisory activities targeting both domestic and international military and civilian customers.

Mesko and Thales signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of 70mm rocket systems. The agreement establishes Mesko as Thales’s main partner in Poland for 70mm rockets intended for various systems, provides for a significant transfer of knowledge and technology including rocket motor assembly and the production of key components by PGZ Group companies. The agreement also envisages actively seeking opportunities for joint development in the area of effectors and advanced propulsion systems (Mesko and Thales partner to co-produce 70mm rocket systems in Poland; Mesko: Another strategic agreement signed at Eurosatory 2026).

Mesko and CRW Telesystem also signed an agreement with Naval Group on demonstrations of the Piorun missile’s capabilities on the Naval Group Rampart naval platform during future naval exercises. The signing of this agreement is the first step in a process of great importance to Mesko and CRW Telesystem – the integration of the Piorun anti-missile and counter-drone system onto a naval platform.

Wojskowe Zakłady Elektroniczne signed an agreement with Young Poong Electronics for the supply of OURUS inertial navigation systems for K2PL tanks. The agreement will be extended to cover OUROS navigation deliveries for K2PL companion vehicles as well, following the signing of a relevant agreement between Hyundai Rotem Company and the Armaments Agency. The signed agreement is the result of an executive contract concluded on August 1, 2025, between the Armaments Agency — acting on behalf of the State Treasury — and South Korean company Hyundai Rotem Company. Following that contract, Zakłady Mechaniczne Bumar-Łabędy were designated as the lead entity on the Polish defense industry side for launching K2PL tank production. This was followed by the signing of subcontracting agreements between Zakłady Mechaniczne Bumar-Łabędy and Hyundai Rotem Company, and between ZM Bumar-Łabędy and Wojskowe Zakłady Elektroniczne, at the headquarters of the Polish Armaments Group.

Among the guests at the Polish Armaments Group stand were European Commission Budget Commissioner Piotr Serafin and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Marcin Bosacki, who familiarized themselves with PGZ’s exhibition, including the PIT-Radwar Tuga 4D AESA radar, the Huta Stalowa Wola Borsuk chassis armed with the Turra-30 turret, mine systems from Belma along with a modular scatterable minelaying system integrated with the PIAP/Łukasiewicz Research Network HUNTeR vehicle (Eurosatory 2026: Bluszcz unmanned scatterable minelaying system on PIAP HUNTeR chassis).

Guests also had the opportunity to view the latest version of the MSBS Grot rifle in the A3 variant, whose technical documentation was approved by the Armaments Agency in June 2026, formally enabling the launch of procurement proceedings and the introduction of this Grot variant into service with the Polish Armed Forces.

The Paris show was also the occasion for a panel debate titled “How Poland is Reshaping Europe’s Security on the Eastern Flank,” in which PGZ First Vice President Arkadiusz Bąk participated. The panel also included Konrad Gołota, Deputy Minister of State Assets, and Mikołaj Firlej, co-founder and managing partner of Expeditions Fund. The debate was moderated by Adam Hsakou — co-founder of Iron Bridge. The discussion covered, among other topics, the development of European defense capabilities, the SAFE program, support for Ukraine, the construction of multi-layered air defense, and the role of the Polish defense industry in strengthening the security of NATO’s eastern flank.

We are building multi-layered air defense in Poland – from the Wisła program, through Narew and Pilica, to additional very short-range layers. This is a system based on Polish sensors, Polish communications systems, and domestic industry competencies developed in cooperation with the Polish Armed Forces,” emphasized Arkadiusz Bąk.

PGZ First Vice President Arkadiusz Bąk also participated in a discussion with representatives of other leading European defense companies on the future and development of key production and technological capabilities. The discussion was chaired by EU Defense Commissioner Andrius Kubilius.
