On Tuesday, May 26, 2026, US company L3Harris Technologies announced that Wojskowe Zakłady Elektroniczne (WZE) in Zielonka, part of the Polish Armaments Group (PGZ), will manufacture Attitude Control Motors (ACMs) for PAC-3 MSE (Patriot Advanced Capability-3 Missile Segment Enhancement) interceptor missiles.

WZE is a certified supplier to the US Armed Forces under the MIM-104 Patriot program. In cooperation with Lockheed Martin, L3Harris is working closely with WZE to establish domestic production of missile components for Poland’s Wisła air-defense system.

The order follows the installation of specialized equipment and validation of production lines for two key processes at WZE’s new manufacturing facility in Zielonka, Poland, as well as extensive training at L3Harris’s solid rocket motor production facility in Camden, Arkansas. WZE also successfully completed a Production Readiness Review, a Manufacturing Readiness Review, and Production Line Verification, clearing the way for the company to begin serial production of Attitude Control Motors (ACMs) and Attitude Control Sections (ACSs) in the near future.
The ACS and ACM are key components used to control the PAC-3 MSE’s flight trajectory and ensure hit-to-kill accuracy. Located within the ACS, the ACMs fire explosive charges to correct the missile’s course and ensure a body-to-body collision with the target. Each PAC-3 MSE contains 180 ACM charges, each approximately the size of a chicken egg.
Through Aerojet Rocketdyne, L3Harris Technologies has supplied propulsion systems for the PAC-3 missile family since the program’s inception.
WZE had previously achieved full readiness to fulfill orders under Phase II of Poland’s Wisła program for the following subsystems: the Enhanced Electronics System (ELES), Junction Box (J-Box), Motor Controller Unit (MCU), and Data Link Terminal Modules (DLTMs) used in the M903 launchers of the MIM-104F Patriot system.
