The new degree program was designed for individuals who wish to develop competencies in the area of modern industrial technologies, the design and optimization of technological processes, and the implementation of innovative and sustainable solutions in line with current environmental and industrial requirements.
The curriculum focuses on the practical preparation of students for work in the modern chemical industry and related sectors. Participants will gain knowledge in the areas of process analysis, process safety, quality control, environmental protection, and production process management. An important element of the program is also the development of competencies enabling the effective integration of knowledge from chemistry, engineering, and the organization of industrial processes.
The sponsorship of the postgraduate studies program is consistent with Nitro-Chem’s corporate social responsibility strategy, which envisages active cooperation with the education sector and support for the development of competencies among future chemical industry specialists.
“As one of the key companies in the Polish defense and chemical industry, we feel a responsibility to support the development of modern technical competencies and to build a personnel base for the entire sector. Cooperation with Bydgoszcz University of Technology is, for us, an investment in knowledge, innovation, and the development of future specialists who will respond to the challenges of the modern industry. We also hope that graduates of the ‘Chemical Technology in Practice’ program will in the future join the ranks of Nitro-Chem’s highly qualified staff, bringing new competencies, knowledge, and a fresh perspective on the development of modern technologies,” emphasized Karol Przybyszewski, Vice President of the Management Board of Zakłady Chemiczne Nitro-Chem.
The program is aimed both at graduates of higher education in various fields and at industry professionals interested in upskilling, professional development, or retraining in the direction of modern industrial technologies.
The program is distinguished by a strong emphasis on the practical aspects of chemical technology, interdisciplinarity, and the inclusion of current industrial trends such as process automation and the circular economy. Classes will be taught by experienced academic staff and industry experts, including specialists in explosives, allowing participants to gain knowledge corresponding to the real needs of the labor market.
The signed agreement is a continuation of the cooperation between Nitro-Chem and Bydgoszcz University of Technology, initiated in May 2025, when the parties concluded an agreement on joint activities aimed at building competencies and supporting the professional development path of students of the Faculty of Chemical Technology and Engineering.
The new postgraduate program has been designed in a way that allows students to balance study with professional responsibilities, making the offering suitable for both those beginning their development in the sector and experienced industry professionals.
“The sponsorship of the postgraduate studies program by Nitro-Chem is another example of effectively combining the potential of science and industry. Our goal is to educate specialists who possess not only a solid theoretical foundation, but also competencies corresponding to the real needs of modern enterprises. Cooperation with one of the most important employers and leaders in the chemical industry in the region will allow program participants to gain knowledge based on the practical experience of experts and current technological challenges,” said Prof. Marek Adamski, Rector of Bydgoszcz University of Technology.
