On Friday, May 15, 2026, Polish arms and munitions manufacturer Niewiadów Polska Grupa Militarna (NPGM) announced that it had signed a memorandum of cooperation with Slovak state-owned defense company ZŤS Špeciál a.s. The agreement paves the way for joint projects in defense technologies, including the integration of artillery systems with Polish military platforms.

„The agreement we have signed is a concrete plan to strengthen the technological potential of both entities. Based on the arrangements, we have gained the status of an authorized representative of ZŤS Špeciál a.s. in Poland, which allows us to jointly develop business projects and maintain dialogue with key stakeholders, including the Ministry of National Defense. We believe that the synergy between ZTS’s experience in producing advanced armaments and Niewiadów’s competencies in integration and business development will bring tangible benefits in the areas of security and modernization of the armed forces,” said Adam Januszko, President of the Management Board of Niewiadów PGM.
The subject of the signed memorandum is to regulate the principles of cooperation between the two entities in the defense technology sector. The cooperation will focus in particular on artillery systems and medium-caliber armament produced by ZTS, as well as on integrating these solutions with land, air, and naval platforms.
The parties to the agreement declared their willingness to develop joint industrial, technological, and commercial ventures aimed at both the Polish market and selected third markets. According to the document’s assumptions, the main areas of cooperation will include the integration of systems supplied by ZTS with platforms manufactured or used in Poland, active participation in offset, localization, and technology programs, as well as industrial cooperation with Polish defense-sector manufacturers.
The signed memorandum is a framework agreement and has been concluded for a period of five years. The document does not impose any direct financial or legal obligations on the parties. The detailed scope, schedule, as well as financing and settlement rules for individual projects will be defined each time in separate, binding implementation agreements.
