On Tuesday, March 24, 2026, Zakłady Sprzętu Precyzyjnego Niewiadów, part of Niewiadów Polska Grupa Militarna (NPGM), signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Czech state-owned company Explosia a.s. The agreement constitutes an important element in the implementation of a broader project to build a comprehensive technological and production chain for 155 mm artillery ammunition in Poland.

The main objective of the cooperation is to secure the supply of key high-energy materials and modular charges necessary for the planned ammunition production. In particular, the agreement covers access to strategic raw materials such as RDX and PETN.
The signed memorandum aligns with the Group’s developing concept of integrating capabilities encompassing the design, research, testing, and production of ammunition. Under this model, the Military Institute of Armament Technology (WITU) is responsible for design development, ballistic testing, and validation of solutions, while Niewiadów–PGM is developing production and implementation capacity. Cooperation with Explosia complements this model by providing access to key materials and components.

“The signed memorandum with Explosia is an important step toward building a stable and independent supply chain for ammunition production. This cooperation will allow us to secure access to strategic raw materials and to develop research and development projects based on the highest technological standards,” emphasized Krystian Gąsior, President of the Management Board of ZSP Niewiadów.
The agreement also предусматриes cooperation in the field of research and development, as well as the use of ZSP Niewiadów’s testing infrastructure, including a test range adapted for conducting ballistic testing of ammunition, including calibers up to 155 mm, in accordance with NATO standards.
“Partnership with Niewiadów–PGM is in line with the strategy of strengthening Europe’s defense potential. The combination of the Czech raw material base with Poland’s technological capabilities creates solid foundations for long-term cooperation in the field of modern ammunition,” said Tomáš Rubáček, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Explosia a.s.

The parties also declared cooperation in production capacity planning and demand forecasting, which is intended to enable an effective response to growing market needs.
The memorandum was concluded for a period of five years. The start of operational cooperation will depend on the conclusion of detailed implementing agreements.
Explosia is a leading European manufacturer of high-energy materials. The company provides research, development, production, service, and sales in the field of energetic materials for the armed forces, security services, and civilian industry.
