The Security and Defence Industry Association of the Slovak Republic (ZBOP) is a national, independent, and non-profit organization representing the interests of the defense industry in Slovakia. The association actively supports its members in export and innovation activities, as well as in cooperation with public administration bodies and international partners. It currently brings together several dozen manufacturing, trading, and research-and-development entities, and its mission is to strengthen the sector’s competitiveness and innovation on the international stage.
A new stage of international cooperation
The accession of Niewiadów Polska Grupa Militarna to ZBOP opens up new business and partnership opportunities for the company. It is one of only two companies from outside the Slovak market to be members of the association, confirming its strong position in the region and its growing role within the European defense industry ecosystem.
Membership in ZBOP also means the company’s inclusion in the association’s international members’ catalogue, increasing its visibility among decision-makers, industry partners, and public institutions. This facilitates the establishment of business relationships as well as the implementation of export and development projects.
Strategic potential of cooperation
Through its membership in Security and Defence Industry Association of the Slovak Republic (ZBOP), the Group gains direct access to industry expertise, events, and initiatives developed within the association. This opens the way for the implementation of joint projects with partners from Slovakia and other Central European countries, as well as participation in regional and European programs that strengthen the Company’s export potential.
Joining ZBOP forms part of a broader context of dynamic changes in the European security environment and the growing importance of regional cooperation within the defense industry. In the face of increased defense spending, shortening supply chains, and the strengthening of manufacturing capabilities in Central Europe, building lasting cross-border relationships among key sector stakeholders is becoming one of the foundations of long-term security and competitiveness. The membership of Niewiadów Polska Grupa Militarna in ZBOP represents a response to these challenges and confirms the consistent implementation of a development strategy based on regional partnership and the integration of the European defense industry.
