On Thursday, January 23, 2025, the 3rd Regional Logistics Base in Kraków (3. RBLog.) announced the launch of a tender procedure for the delivery of another batch of multifunctional truck-mounted excavators for the engineering units of the Polish Armed Forces.

The subject of the tender is the delivery of 7 excavator sets in 2025 and 5 more in 2026, with an option for an additional 3 units in 2025 and 3 in 2026—totaling 12 units under the basic order and 6 under the optional order.
The selection criteria for the offer will be: price (60%), warranty period (20%) for all components without mileage limits, except for parts subject to wear during operation, additional functions (20%). The deadline for submitting applications for participation in the procedure is February 24, 2025, at 07:00 AM.
The delivery timeline for both the basic and optional orders will commence from the date of contract signing:
- Completion timeline for 2025: Seven months from the contract signing date, but no later than November 28, 2025—whichever comes first.
- Completion timeline for 2026: Seventeen months from the contract signing date, but no later than October 30, 2026—whichever comes first, with the condition that deliveries cannot commence before January 1, 2026.
Delivery Locations:
- For 2025 (Basic Order): 1 set – 18th Engineer Regiment (Nisko), 2 sets – 16th Engineer Regiment (Orzysz), 2 sets – 3rd Engineer Regiment (Chełmno), 2 sets – 4th Engineer Regiment (Dęblin)
- For 2026 (Basic Order): 2 sets – 1st Engineer Regiment (Brzeg), 2 sets – 2nd Engineer Regiment (Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki), 2 sets – 5th Engineering Regiment (Szczecin Podjuchy), 2 sets – Engineer Battalion, 19th Mechanized Brigade (Chełm).
- For 2025 (Optional Order): 2 sets – 2nd Engineering Regiment (Inowrocław), 1 set – Training Center for Engineering and Chemical Forces (Wrocław, ul. Obornicka 108)
- For 2026 (Optional Order): 2 sets – Engineer Battalion, 1st Armored Brigade (Biała Podlaska), 1 set – Engineer Regiment, 20th Mechanized Brigade (Bartoszyce)
On January 9, the company Szczęśniak Pojazdy Specjalne from Bielsko-Biała announced that at the end of 2024, it had delivered the first UDS 214.3 multifunctional excavator mounted on a Scania XT P460 8×8 chassis to the 18th Engineer Regiment, under an order from the 3rd Regional Logistics Base. The deliveries are part of a tender for 36 new truck-mounted excavators, which was announced on February 8, 2024.
On August 6, 2024, Szczęśniak Special Vehicles was selected as the winning bidder, as it was the only offer submitted within the deadline. The new excavators will replace the K-407C model, which was mounted on a Star 266M chassis—a modernized version of the K-407B on the Star 266 chassis. The working unit is powered by an SW-266 engine.
