On Friday, September 18, 2026, Magdalena Sobkowiak-Czarnecka, Secretary of State at the Polish Ministry of National Defence, announced that the status had been granted. The designation of Key Investments was awarded for the first time by a special team operating within the Ministry.

The mechanism provided for in the special-purpose act is intended to streamline the preparation and implementation of strategic investment projects related to national defense requirements. In the case of Polish Armaments Group companies, it will facilitate processes involving infrastructure expansion, increased production capacity, and the development of technological capabilities.
„This is important news for the entire Polish Armaments Group and confirmation of the strategic importance of the capabilities being developed by our companies. Granting the investments of Mesko, PIT-Radwar, OBR CTM, and Nitro-Chem key status for national defense requirements opens up another major development opportunity for us. It will allow us to expand infrastructure more efficiently, increase production capacity, and implement modern technologies. We are ready to translate this decision into specific investments, new capabilities, and a greater scale of production for the needs of the Polish Armed Forces. Thanks to the decisions of the Minister of National Defence, we have received another tool that will allow us to produce Polish security more efficiently in Polish facilities and develop domestic capabilities,” said Adam Leszkiewicz, President of the Management Board of the Polish Armaments Group.
The investments being carried out by the four Polish Armaments Group companies concern areas that are critical to national security and the operational capabilities of the Polish Armed Forces. The companies are developing expertise, among other areas, in the production of ammunition and ordnance, radar systems, air defense systems, military electronics, and technologies intended for the maritime domain.
The designation will enable more efficient implementation of projects aimed at increasing both the scale and pace of production, as well as expanding the infrastructure required to introduce further technological solutions. The investments are expected to strengthen the capabilities of the individual companies, increase the resilience of the domestic production and supply system, and establish key industrial capabilities in Poland on a lasting basis.
