On Tuesday, March 17, 2026, the Polish Armaments Group (PGZ) announced that, together with the French company Eurenco, it is accelerating industrial cooperation, as demonstrated by the official visit of the PGZ management board to Eurenco’s production facility in Bergerac, France. The visit coincides with the formal confirmation by the management boards of both companies of new strategic steps in the process of establishing a joint venture focused on the production of propellant charges for 155 mm ammunition.

The visit enabled PGZ’s leadership to familiarize themselves firsthand with the latest industrial capabilities that Eurenco will implement in Poland. By entering into cooperation with Eurenco on October 22, 2025, PGZ secured access to proven technologies that will support the investment in Pionki. In addition, the agreement provides for uninterrupted supplies of raw materials, thereby ensuring the integrity and full execution of the entire production process (Polish Armaments Group, Mesko, and Eurenco sign strategic agreements, Eurenco and Mesko strengthen strategic partnershipwith long-term energetic nitrocellulose supply agreement).
The project focuses on replicating Eurenco’s successful industrial model from Bergerac to ensure a straightforward, safe, and efficient technology transfer. Having produced several million BMCS units (Bi-Modular Charge Systems) in recent years, Eurenco brings extensive experience in large-scale production to the partnership. The aim of this cooperation is to rapidly develop industrial production in Pionki by 2028, using established safety standards and high-efficiency manufacturing techniques.
Adam LESZKIEWICZ, President of the Management Board of PGZ, added: “The goal of the cooperation with Eurenco is to launch production of multi-base powder and modular charges in Poland as quickly as possible. The plant will be located in Pionki, on the premises of Mesko, one of our companies. We are intensively negotiating technical terms and are seeking a final agreement with a joint venture partner. The visit to France is a significant step in this direction, allowing us not only to see the completed twin factory but also to confirm the final design agreements. The competences and production capabilities gained through cooperation with EURENCO will enable us to meet the needs of the Polish Army and our allies even better.”
Thierry FRANCOU, CEO of EURENCO, stated: “We are honored to welcome the PGZ Management Board to Bergerac today. This visit is a powerful symbol of our operational progress. The future plant in Pionki will be directly based on our new modular charge line here in Bergerac, which was remarkably constructed and commissioned in less than nine months. By replicating this industrial success in Poland, we are providing our partner with a sovereign, high-performance production capability in record time to meet Europe’s urgent defense needs.”
