On Friday, February 6, 2026, Polish Armaments Group and BAE Systems signed an agreement to expand cooperation between the two companies. The agreement marks another step in pursuing new projects in the field of ammunition and beyond. Strengthening the partnership between the two leading European defense companies is intended to support security and economic growth in Poland, the United Kingdom, and other European markets. The cooperation also aims to explore joint export opportunities.
“BAE Systems is our partner with whom we have established technological cooperation in the production of 155 mm ammunition. The purpose of the agreement signed today is to expand this cooperation into additional areas that will strengthen our position both in the domestic market and internationally. Together, we will seek new projects, including in the fields of land systems, counter-drone solutions, and autonomous systems. We want to build a strong partnership and benefit from the extensive experience that BAE Systems brings. As the Polish Armaments Group, we are committed to systematically strengthening our capabilities through partnerships with the world’s largest defense companies, and BAE Systems is certainly one of them,” said Adam Leszkiewicz, President of the Management Board of PGZ.
“This agreement will allow us to further develop our long-standing presence in Poland and to work with PGZ in pursuing security and economic objectives. Through this cooperation, we will look for ways to accelerate progress in key areas of mutual interest to both companies, as well as to develop the domestic industrial base through knowledge sharing. The aim of our cooperation is to reinforce the already strong relationship between our companies and to continue identifying effective ways to deliver outcomes for Poland, the United Kingdom, and NATO,” said David Williams, Managing Director of BAE Systems.
The agreement confirms the willingness of both companies to establish a strategic relationship between two leading European defense firms across multiple areas, to the benefit of the security of Poland, the United Kingdom, and Europe as a whole. It covers a broad range of potential cooperation opportunities in the defense sector, including on land, in the air, at sea, in cyberspace, and in space.
On September 12, 2025, BAE Systems was selected by the Polish Armaments Group as the technology provider for the production of 155 mm large-caliber ammunition. The selected offer represents an innovative solution, enabling the introduction of a new product into PGZ’s portfolio and the development of production capabilities at individual ammunition plants (BAE Systems partner of the Polish Armaments Group in the production of 155 mm ammunition).
