On Thursday, March 26, 2026, the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic announced that the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic (Armáda České republiky, AČR) had taken delivery of three new STOKOTA EUROLIGHT 42 000IL/5C fuel tankers based on the Scania G500 A6x2/4 tractor unit, each with a capacity of 42,000 liters.

The tanker sets will be intended for the transport of liquid fuels and will strengthen the capabilities of logistics units in supporting operations in the Czech Republic and abroad.
“Three new semi-trailer tanker units were handed over to personnel of the 141st Supply Battalion in Pardubice, the 143rd Supply Battalion in Lipník nad Bečvou, and the Deployable Forces Support Battalion in Rakovník. Their introduction into service significantly strengthens the Ministry of Defence’s capabilities in the transport and distribution of fuel,” commented the Director of the Logistics Agency, Colonel Miroslav Horáček.
The semi-trailer tanker is intended for the overland transport of large quantities of fuel. It consists of a tractor unit and a tanker semi-trailer. The tanker’s design makes it possible to transport up to three types of fuel in bulk at the same time, motor gasoline, diesel fuel, and aviation kerosene, thereby increasing flexibility in the execution of logistics tasks.
The set consists of a SCANIA G500 A6x2/4 tractor unit with an engine output of 368 kW, equipped with an automatic transmission. It hauls a STOKOTA EUROLIGHT 42 000IL/5C tanker with a total usable tank capacity of 42,000 liters, divided into five separate compartments with capacities of 11,500, 5,000, 6,500, 9,000, and 10,000 liters. The set is equipped with a pump with a capacity of 900 liters per minute, enabling the metered pumping and suction of diesel fuel or aviation kerosene to and from all compartments. For small-scale distribution, a 30-meter DN 50 hose is available, fitted with a ZV 400 dispensing nozzle with interchangeable tips of various diameters.
The new equipment replaces obsolete CA 18 tanker sets on the Tatra T 815 VP 12 28 235 6×6.1R chassis, delivered in 1985–1989, together with CP 11 tanker semi-trailers, thereby contributing to the modernization of the logistics equipment of the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic and increasing operational reliability and transport safety. The purchase of additional sets is planned in the future for both the Land Forces (Pozemní síly) and the Air Force (Vzdušné síly).
The public procurement procedure, conducted as an open tender, was announced in March 2025 and concerned the purchase of three tanker semi-trailer sets with pumping, measuring, and distribution equipment in civilian configuration. The contract with Scania Czech Republic s.r.o. was signed in August 2025, and its gross value amounted to 39,675,900 CZK.
Earlier, on January 30, 2025, a framework agreement was signed with the state-owned company VOP CZ for the delivery of 47 CAP Shadow Tanker fuel tankers with a capacity of more than 16,000 liters on the Tatra Force T815-7 8×8 truck chassis. At the same time, the first implementing contract was concluded for the delivery of 13 units.
