On Friday, January 16, 2026, WB Group announced that it had joined ASD Europe (Aerospace, Security and Defence Industries Association of Europe), the European association representing the aerospace, space, defense, and security industries. ASD Europe is a key European industry body bringing together companies from the aerospace, defense, and security sectors. Membership in ASD enables WB Group to engage more fully in dialogue with European Union institutions and strengthens the representation of Polish defense industry interests at the international level.
Following unanimous approval by its Board, the Aerospace, Security and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD) admitted two new members: WB Group of Poland and the Czechoslovak Group from the Czech Republic. The new memberships entered into force on December 4, 2025.
“I warmly welcome both new members to the ASD family. Their experience and technological expertise will make a valuable contribution and further strengthen ASD. I am particularly pleased to see increasing engagement from Central and Eastern Europe’s dynamic industrial base, which plays an important role in Europe’s security and resilience” – said Camille Grand, ASD Secretary General.
“Membership in ASD is a natural step for the Poland-based, globally expanding WB Group, reflecting our strong European roots. Since 1997, we have focused on delivering advanced, battle-proven unmanned systems, loitering munitions, and command-and-control solutions that meet the real needs of demanding users” – said Piotr Wojciechowski, CEO of the WB GROUP.
The activities of ASD Europe are focused on issues related to civil aviation, defense, security, and the space sector. The association supports its members by developing common positions on matters of key importance to the industry and by cooperating with European Union institutions in shaping the regulatory framework.
ASD also provides its members with access to up-to-date information on international projects and development programs, creating a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience within the high-technology sector.
“Our growing membership and the diverse profiles of our members underline ASD’s identity as a genuinely European association representing a broad ecosystem of companies supporting a sovereign and secure Europe” – added Camille Grand.
“In WB GROUP we are committed to actively shaping a competitive European defence industry and strengthening our participation in international and European industrial and capability programmes” – declared Piotr Wojciechowski.
Following the accession of WB Group and Czechoslovak Group, the Brussels-based ASD Europe now comprises 28 companies and 23 associations from 21 European countries, collectively representing more than 4,000 entities. Together, they account for 99% of total turnover and 94% of employment in the sector in Europe. ASD represents key manufacturers and suppliers in the high-technology industry.
The association plays an important role in shaping the operating conditions of the European industrial and technological base, supporting competitiveness, innovation, and the development of joint research and development initiatives. Bringing together Europe’s largest industrial groups and national industry associations, ASD serves as the collective voice of the industry in its engagement with European Union institutions and international partners.
