“We have an important task ahead of us – to develop Huta Częstochowa into the best steel mill in Poland and to build strong potential. I would like to thank the management board and employees already today for what you have achieved over the past several months. You have launched new production capacities, found business partners, and contracts for the coming year are largely secured. You intend to restore the capability to produce armor plate – by January you should obtain the required permits for this purpose. I thank you for the work already completed,” emphasized the Head of the Ministry of National Defence.
The assets of Huta Częstochowa will be transferred to the Military Property Agency, an executive agency of the Ministry of National Defence. This step constitutes a key stage in organizing the ownership situation of the plant. The next step in the process will be the planned contribution in kind of the acquired and transferred assets to Huta Częstochowa, which currently remains their lessee and conducts operational activities. The company operates within the Węglokoks Capital Group, which is responsible for resuming production, the day-to-day operation of the plant, and its further development. The acquisition of the assets by the State Treasury, along with subsequent actions involving the Military Property Agency and the Węglokoks Group, forms part of the process of rebuilding the production capabilities of Huta Częstochowa and its long-term use in strategic sectors of the economy.
