On Tuesday, November 25, 2025, as announced by the Polish Ministry of National Defence, a meeting took place at the U.S. Department of Defense in the Pentagon in Washington between a Polish delegation, led by Secretary of State Paweł Zalewski, and U.S. Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Elbridge Colby.

During the talks, participants discussed the conclusions and recommendations following last week’s High Level Defense Group meeting, which focused on intensifying bilateral cooperation in the areas of security policy and defense industry development.
Both sides emphasized the importance of mutual partnership and allied commitments, which have a direct impact on the level of security on NATO’s eastern flank.
The meeting also included discussions on joint initiatives aimed at supporting U.S. efforts to bring an end to the conflict in Ukraine (Axios reveals a 28-point peace plan for Ukraine).
The previous meeting between Paweł Zalewski and Elbridge Colby in Washington took place on May 13 of this year.
