On Tuesday, February 10, 2026, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz presented appointment letters assigning four Polish Armed Forces officers to new service positions.

We are strengthening the command structures of the Polish Armed Forces. Today, I presented nominations to four officers who will soon assume new service positions.
- Brigadier General Jan Wojno has been appointed, effective March 2 of this year, to the position of Commander of the 8th Home Army Infantry Division.
- Colonel Marcin Szubiński has been appointed, effective February 23 of this year, to the position of Head of the Unmanned Aerial Weapon Systems Directorate – Deputy Inspector of Unmanned Weapon Systems at the General Command of the Armed Forces.
- Captain (N) Przemysław Karaś has been appointed, effective March 2 of this year, to the position of Deputy Commander of the Maritime Operations Center – Maritime Component Command.
- Colonel Jacek Zaniewski has been appointed, effective February 16 of this year, to the position of Commander of the 2nd Legions Artillery Brigade.
