Brig. Gen. Jarosław Mokrzycki, Chief of Staff of the 2nd Polish Corps – Land Component Command, won the competition for the position of Director of Operations at the European Union Military Staff (EUMS) in Brussels. He will assume the post on 1 September this year.
The European Union Military Committee is the highest-ranking military body within the Council of the European Union. Its responsibilities include, among others, directing all EU military activities and overseeing the development of military capabilities (Representatives of the European Union Military Committee visiting Poland).

Meanwhile, Col. Mirosław Postołowicz, Commander of the Command Support Brigade of the Multinational Corps Northeast, will assume the post of Director of CIS Support Units at the NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA) on 1 October this year.
The NATO Communications and Information Agency was established on 1 July 2012 as part of NATO’s reform process. Today, its workforce comprises approximately 3,000 civilian and military personnel deployed across 34 locations in Europe and North America. NCIA delivers advanced Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities, supporting Alliance decision-makers and missions, including addressing emerging threats and challenges such as cyber and missile attacks.
The agency is responsible for technology acquisition, experimentation, promoting interoperability, systems and architecture design and engineering, as well as testing and technical support. It also provides communications and information systems services for NATO exercises, missions, and operations, and delivers IT support to Allies, NATO Headquarters, the NATO Command Structure, and other NATO forces, structures, and agencies. Through the NATO Cyber Security Centre, NCIA experts protect Alliance networks 24/7.
It is also worth noting that since 1 April 2025, the Chief of Staff of NCIA has been Brig. Gen. Krzysztof Kociuba.
