“We have agreed on the manner of communication and of keeping the President informed so that under no circumstances the security of the Polish state, nor the building of a community for security, will be put at risk. For the government—and for us personally—this is a matter of the highest importance. We are making every effort to ensure that this is the case. By agreeing to hold regular meetings in this format, we will provide information, but also submit requests for specific decisions or determinations by the President. In this regard, you can be assured that on our side there will always be openness and readiness to build joint actions for the security of the Polish state, in particular a common approach toward our allies and partners in the European Union and NATO, as well as undertaking appropriate actions against those who wish us ill and protecting ourselves against those who threaten our security,” said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz during the press conference following the meeting with the President of the Republic of Poland.

“The heads of the services, together with us, presented the assumptions and the most important issues related to security, as well as analyses and assessments of cooperation risks, threats, and opportunities arising from the current geopolitical situation. We approached this meeting with great openness, providing information to the President and discussing, together with the President’s advisers, all key matters related to the security of the state. This conversation is necessary. It is good that the meeting took place. It is good that the President accepted our initiative and our request. We also discussed promotions and appointments to the first officer rank. We will submit our recommendations and formally request these appointments. I believe that even now we can look with optimism at the President’s favorable attitude toward approving these requests,” emphasized the Minister of National Defence.
Among the topics discussed were current issues related to national security, as well as the priorities of the armed forces and special services for the current year.
“Today’s meeting, attended by the President and his advisers, Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, the heads of the services, and myself, I assess as necessary and valuable. It provided an opportunity to present the President with comprehensive information on the activities of the services and on the priority they are given in the government’s actions. (…) During the meeting, a review of threats and the priorities of each service was conducted. The heads of the services presented their assessments and answered questions from the President and his advisers. No question went unanswered,” said Special Services Coordinator Tomasz Siemoniak during the press conference.
