During the 29th edition of Eurosatory 2026, the international defense industry trade show organized by Coges Events and taking place June 15-19 of this year in Paris-Nord Villepinte near Paris, Pagacz Defence Group of Toruń announced the expansion of its cooperation with French company Metravib Defence (part of the ACOEM group).

Metravib Defence is a world leader in the production of gunshot detection systems. Its product range includes solutions designed for mounting on military vehicles, critical infrastructure facilities, special-purpose vehicles (such as those used by special operations forces and the diplomatic corps), and on rifles.
The two companies have been cooperating in the field of the PILAR acoustic gunshot detection system since Eurosatory 2024. Representatives of Pagacz Defence Group have now informed the MILMAG Portal editorial team of an expansion of the cooperation, offering new compact solutions aimed primarily at law enforcement services, which were presented at this year’s show:
- The PAAD (Product Acoustic Anti-Drone) is a portable acoustic detection system for small drones, utilizing machine learning (artificial intelligence) algorithms, which can be used as a standalone sensor or as part of a larger counter-drone system. The system is capable of determining the precise direction (azimuth and elevation) of an unmanned aerial vehicle, including FPV drones, based on the acoustic signature of their propulsion system generated by the rotors. Detection effectiveness is stated at 90% at distances from 50 to 250 m, with a response time of less than 1 second. The device weighs 0.7 kg and has compact dimensions: 12 cm in length, 12 cm in width, and 10 cm in height. Power supply: 10-30 VDC, 110/120 VAC via power bank from solar/wind sources through a Power Box. It is compatible with the SAPIENT (Sensing for Asset Protection with Integrated Electronic Networked Technology) protocol.

- PITON is a new AI-assisted gunshot detection system designed to protect VIPs, public security services such as police and special forces, and unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs). It is integrated with civilian and tactical vehicles, for example on the roof. Its detection effectiveness exceeds 90%; it is capable of detecting the source of incoming supersonic projectiles in calibers from 5.56mm to 14.5mm at their effective engagement ranges. The detection range covers 360 degrees around the protected vehicle, both when stationary and in motion. It can determine azimuth to an accuracy of ±7.5 degrees and distance to the shooter to an accuracy of ±20%, and identify the projectile caliber with discrimination between below and above 7.62mm. Response time is under 2 seconds. The device weighs 0.7 kg and has compact dimensions: 12 cm in length, 12 cm in width, and 6 cm in height. It is powered from the vehicle. Data is presented on Android devices in the form of a clock-face display showing threat directions, with the vehicle at the center of the dial.
