On Monday, April 20, 2026, the Ministry of National Defense and the Armament Agency announced on social media that a consortium of companies comprising Poland’s Siltec and Sweden’s Bertin Exensor AB had completed deliveries of another batch of Flexnet UGS reconnaissance sensors, which were deployed, among other locations, along Poland’s eastern border.

“Support for Polish Armed Forces reconnaissance patrols arrived faster than expected. We have just accepted several dozen new reconnaissance sensors. The delivery was completed – NOTE! – two years ahead of the deadline specified in the contract for the purchase of 219 sets. The system can be used in any terrain and weather conditions, including for patrolling the eastern border,” Paweł Bejda, deputy minister of national defense responsible for overseeing the technical modernization of the Polish Armed Forces, announced on the social media platform X.
“A contract with Siltec in December 2023 – and the full set in April 2026 – these are the kinds of deliveries we like!” the Armament Agency added.
The contract was completed with the delivery of 51 sets this year.
It should be recalled that on January 9, 2024, Swedish company Bertin Exensor AB announced that in December 2023 it had signed a contract with the Ministry of National Defense, together with Siltec, worth approximately 40 million EUR (195.5 million PLN gross), for the delivery of 219 sets of Flexnet UGS (Unattended Ground Sensor) reconnaissance sensor systems (SSR), with deliveries originally scheduled for 2024-2027.
The previous contract, signed on September 27, 2019 between the then Armament Inspectorate of the Ministry of National Defense and the consortium of Siltec (as leader) and Exensor Technology (now Bertin Exensor AB), worth 66.7 million PLN gross, covered the delivery of 116 Flexnet UGS sets together with a logistics and training package, with deliveries in 2019-2022.

Developed and manufactured by Bertin Exensor, Flexnet is a UGS-class system (Unattended Ground Sensor), consisting of a range of sensors using various technologies to locate, identify, and track moving targets on the ground. It is an integral part of the modern digital battlefield and is in operational use by several NATO member states.
The Flexnet UGS reconnaissance sensor system allows enemy activity to be monitored in a designated area of at least 90,000 square meters or along a road section of at least 500 linear meters, in all terrain conditions.
The system is intended for tactical-level use by reconnaissance patrols in Poland and as part of Polish Military Contingents. The system includes day/night cameras, reconnaissance and relay sensors, portable control and data reception terminals, tripods with continuously adjustable height for mounting sensors and cameras, transport backpacks, and batteries with chargers.
