Even before the official opening of the trade fair, a press briefing was held, during which the PGZ Management Board presented the Group’s plans and activities for the coming days to media representatives.

Subsequently, in the presence of Poland’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, two agreements were signed with the Armament Agency, representing the State Treasury, the implementation of which will significantly contribute to strengthening the potential of the Polish Army. The first, concluded with the PGZ-Narew consortium, concerns the delivery of 46 passive location radars for the Narew program. The scale of deliveries is aligned with the progress of building the short-range air defence system. The agreement will allow PGZ Group to further develop its radar production capabilities, and its value amounts to 5.8 billion PLN.
“This radar contract is an investment in Poland’s security, but also in the Polish economy. The security of our airspace is a priority. I would like to thank everyone who worked to make this order possible,” said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence.
The second agreement was signed with the Fabryka Broni Łucznik-Radom for the delivery of 23 thousands MSBS Grot rifles in the latest version. So far, 160,000 of these rifles have been delivered to the Polish Army (MSPO 2025: Contract for 23,000 MSBS Grot rifles).
“I promised that the Arms Factory would not run out of work. We are keeping that promise. The Grot is meant to serve the Polish soldier and Poland’s security,” said Paweł Bejda, Secretary of State at the Ministry of National Defence.
The first day of the exhibition was also marked by the strengthening of cooperation with Polish enterprises. Under an agreement signed between PGZ and WB Electronics, the parties expressed their intention to cooperate on developing a long-term partnership model between the companies. Within this cooperation, the parties will strive, among other things, to develop new business models, carry out joint research and development projects, particularly in the field of new technologies, as well as exchange experience and best practices in responding to the needs of the Polish Armed Forces and allied nations.
Equally important was the establishment of long-term cooperation with Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK), under which BGK will support Poland’s strategic defense projects and strengthen the Group’s financial security through guarantee instruments and development financing.
Traditionally, the MSPO trade fair also features the signing of agreements and letters of intent with foreign partners. The Polish Armaments Group strengthened its cooperation with Babcock International in the naval and air domains. PGZ and Babcock are already working closely together under the Miecznik program, with three frigates being built for the Polish Navy being based on Babcock’s Arrowhead 140 platform. Meanwhile, an agreement with Saab confirmed both parties’ interest in multi-domain cooperation on projects supporting the security of Poland and Europe. PGZ representatives also signed a letter of intent with Veolia regarding the development of a long-term partnership model in the areas of energy, water, waste, and energy efficiency (MSPO 2025: Polish Armaments Group signs agreements with BAE Systems and Saab).
The Polish Armaments Group Foundation was also active, signing a cooperation agreement with the Veterans’ Center for Missions Outside the State Borders. This marks another step toward intensifying efforts to support the veteran community and to promote patriotic and defense-related values.
“Through their service, veterans have written the most important chapters in the modern history of the Polish armed forces. In line with the Foundation’s motto, ‘To Those Who Serve the Homeland,’ it is our duty not only to remember their sacrifice but also to actively support them in their daily lives. This is our expression of gratitude and respect for veterans, even after the completion of their missions,” emphasized the President of the PGZ Foundation, Justyna Wawrzyńska-Bąk.
In addition to numerous agreements, a debate was held on the stage of the Polish Armaments Group, organized in cooperation with the daily Rzeczpospolita, entitled Expanding the Capabilities of the Polish Defense Industry – Which Directions Will the State-Owned and Private Sectors Take?. Participants included Konrad Gołota, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of State Assets; Adam Leszkiewicz, President of the Management Board of PGZ; General Artur Kuptel, Head of the Armament Agency; Mirosław Czekaj, President of the Management Board of Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego; and Piotr Wojciechowski, President of the Management Board of WB Electronics.
