The DEFENDER statuette was awarded to PIT-Radwar for the Sajna Multifunctional Fire Control Radar, a key element of the Narew short-range air defense system. Sajna is a modern radar station, developed entirely by Polish engineers. It is distinguished by a high-mounted antenna, which enables effective tracking of objects above tree canopies and enhances the detection capabilities of low-flying targets.

Fabryka Broni Łucznik-Radom received the DEFENDER award for the 5.56 mm MSBS Grot rifle with an underslung grenade launcher. The Grot is an entirely Polish design, proven on the battlefield, incorporating unique technical and technological solutions.
PCO was awarded for the KMW-3V thermal imaging camera, equipped with a cooled detector developed by the Polish firm Vigo Photonics. The camera is intended for use in fire control systems of anti-aircraft missile sets.
In addition to the DEFENDER awards, special prizes were also presented. The Kielce Trade Fair Council awarded a distinction to Belma, while the prize for the best Polish arms exporter, funded by the Minister of Finance and Economy, went to Mesko. Furthermore, Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa was honored with the TOP DESIGN award for its innovative exhibition.
“I would like to thank the Program Council for organizing this exhibition. Their hard work made possible everything we were able to see this year. I would especially like to thank those for whom we do this and with whom we meet – our clients. (…) Ladies and Gentlemen, we are here to support those who serve the Homeland. The Polish Armed Forces serve Poland, and we want to serve the Polish Armed Forces,” emphasized Arkadiusz Bąk, First Vice President of the Management Board of PGZ, on behalf of all exhibitors.
The DEFENDER awards were not the only distinctions presented during the MSPO fair. Traditionally, prizes were also awarded in the “Leader of State Security” competition, recognizing enterprises, institutions, and research centers whose innovative products and solutions contribute to strengthening Poland’s defense potential and security. The honorary patrons of the competition are the National Security Bureau and the Ministry of National Defence.
In the 13th edition of the competition, the following were distinguished:
- Mesko – First-Class Award in the “Innovative Product” category for the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals, in consortium with MESKO S.A., for the Group of Reserve Thermal Batteries BTR;
- PCO – Second-Class Award in the “Innovative Product” category for the PCS-20MD night vision sight with microdisplay;
- Fabryka Broni Łucznik-Radom, in consortium with the Military University of Technology, was distinguished in the “Innovative Product” category with a First-Class Award for the 5.56 mm MSBS Grot standard rifle with a 40 mm underslung grenade launcher, as well as in the “Innovative Company” category;
- WCBKT, in consortium with the Air Force Institute of Technology, was awarded a First-Class Award for the product: Network-Centric E-NOSP System.
In addition, the Program Council’s award went to Belma for the newly developed MP-25 mine. The product refers to the previously known TM-62 mine design; however, unlike its predecessor, it allows the user to freely choose the explosive material from among TNT, COMP-B, or TBX.
The 33rd edition of the International Defence Industry Exhibition has come to an end. For several days, the Kielce fair once again became a key meeting place for representatives of the defense industry, armed forces, and governments from around the world. Companies of Polish Armaments Group signed numerous contracts for the supply of equipment to the Polish army, entered into agreements with foreign partners to strengthen domestic capabilities, and above all presented visitors with a wide range of modern solutions ensuring the safety of soldiers on the contemporary battlefield.
