Holsters HPE Poland, based in Kielce, is a Polish company whose roots date back to 1924. It has operated in its current form since 1990 and specializes in the production and distribution of a wide range of solutions for uniformed services.
At the conclusion of POLSECURE 2026, the company received the Border Laurel award for a comprehensive protective system for Border Guard officers, consisting of:
- HPE_ZSG_PC external bulletproof plate carrier vest
The HPE_ZSG_PC external bulletproof plate carrier vest was designed and manufactured specifically for Border Guard officers in connection with the ongoing armed conflict in Ukraine and the tense geopolitical situation on the Polish-Belarusian border.
The HPE_ZSG_PC external bulletproof plate carrier vest was designed to meet the highest protection standards. It is intended to protect the covered areas against projectiles fired from short- and long-barreled firearms, fragments, as well as knife and spike attacks. Specially made monolithic hard ballistic plates, combined with soft panels, make it possible to stop BZ armor-piercing projectiles, class K4 in accordance with PN-V-87000:2011.
The soft ballistic panels used in the latest HPE_ZSG_PC vest provide K2-O2 protection in accordance with PN-V-87000:2011 and additionally make it possible to stop knife and spike attacks in accordance with NIJ Standard 0115.00 at Level I.
- HPE_K2O2_ZSG external bulletproof vest with neck protection
The HPE_K2O2_ZSG vest was developed in accordance with the requirements using unique materials with the highest strength parameters. Each of the externally visible materials and accessories has IRR properties in passive and active night-vision devices, while the inner part of the cover has been finished with spacer mesh which, thanks to the use of an innovative PCM capsule system and heat-dissipation technology, has a very high capacity for heat accumulation and release. The vest cover is made of materials that meet safety and environmental requirements under the very restrictive REACH regulation of the European Parliament. The vest cover is made of flame-retardant materials for which the limited flame-spread index is at least 1 in accordance with the Polish standard. The ballistic inserts provide K2O2 protection in accordance with the Polish standard PN-V-87000:2011.
- ARB/HPE/24 anti-riot protective set with BS-24/SG shield
Designed specifically for Border Guard officers, the set protects the user’s life and health against stones, projectiles, and attacks with sharp objects. The set consists of arm, shoulder, groin, and leg protectors connected to a vest adapted for soft ballistic panels resistant to bullets, fragments, knives, and spikes. The entire set is made of flame-retardant materials and uses impact-energy-absorbing elements made of ABS plastic and absorbent foam. The individual components are connected into a single set with buckles that allow for quick release and assembly. The vest is equipped with a MOLLE/PALS system to allow the user to mount selected equipment. The set also includes a dedicated BS-24/SG protective shield made of high-strength polycarbonate, which provides the officer with additional protection against blows from blunt instruments, blade cuts, and fragments.
- Protector HPE-SG HIGH-CUT fragment- and bullet-resistant helmet with PO-HPE24/1 protective visor
The Protector HPE-SG HIGH-CUT fragment- and bullet-resistant helmet is intended to protect the head against direct impacts from selected small-arms projectiles and fragments, as well as against the effects of impacts from dangerous objects and injuries sustained while performing tasks in the field. The shell is made in accordance with the MICH/ACH helmet standard, with a high stepped cut at temple level, known as “HIGH-CUT.” The helmet is designed for year-round use in all weather conditions and retains its protective properties at temperatures from -40 to +50°C. The helmet provides K2 O3 ballistic protection in accordance with PN-V-87001:2011. The helmet comes with a PO-HPE24/1 protective visor, providing additional protection for the user’s face. The visor can be attached to the helmet very quickly using specially adapted adapters compatible with ARC side rails. The visor is made of high-strength polycarbonate with a thickness of 4.5 mm, transparency of at least 93%, and a protective surface area of 325 cm². It is resistant to fragments with a V50 velocity of at least 250 m/s.
