The Copenhagen Competitiveness Summit 2025 has concluded in the Danish capital. Among the participants were European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, French President Emmanuel Macron, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, and Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen.
The WB Group was invited to take part in this prestigious event as a representative of the defense sector. President Piotr Wojciechowski represented Polish entrepreneurs alongside representatives of Orlen Group and PGE Polish Energy Group.

Speech by the President of WB Group
In his address, Piotr Wojciechowski, President of the WB Group, emphasized that he represents the largest private manufacturer of unmanned defense systems in Europe.
“The experience that WB Group has gained over more than a decade of combat operations in Ukraine provides the foundation for developing effective counter-drone solutions. Importantly, our production is based on components and subsystems of European origin,” added Piotr Wojciechowski.
However, the WB Group President also pointed out the difficulties in regional trade resulting from the fragmentation of the European market.
“The time has come for Europe to make up for lost ground in this area,” he said.
A Key Event
The summit brought together representatives of some of the largest corporations shaping a strong European economy in fields such as aerospace (Airbus), industrial technologies (Siemens), infrastructure security (Thales), and logistics and maritime transport (A.P. Møller–Maersk).
The Copenhagen Competitiveness Summit 2025 is one of the most important economic events in Europe, attended by a carefully selected group of government representatives and leading enterprises, dozens of prominent figures from the worlds of politics and business.
The meeting in Denmark provided a platform both for informal discussions and for the presentation of proposals to the European Union aimed at strengthening the competitiveness of European companies.
The Copenhagen Declaration
The highlight of the summit was the signing of the Copenhagen Pledge, a declaration in which 28 representatives of European industry, including WB Group, endorsed a joint statement expressing their readiness to increase investments by 2030.
The companies invited to the summit already generate a combined revenue of nearly 700 billion EUR. This figure could grow significantly if politicians and decision-makers succeed in creating conditions that foster innovation.
This can be achieved, among other measures, by reducing regulatory burdens, removing barriers to the single market, establishing financial instruments such as SAFE or the European Competitiveness Fund, and strengthening international cooperation in the field of research and development.
