On Thursday, June 11, 2026, at the headquarters of the Poland’s Ministry of National Defence in Warsaw, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz met with Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün, President of the Turkish Secretariat of Defence Industries (Savunma Sanayii Başkanlığı, SSB). The talks were also attended by Deputy Minister Paweł Bejda, responsible for overseeing the technical modernization of the Polish Armed Forces, and the head of the Armament Agency, Maj. Gen. Artur Kuptel.

During the bilateral meeting, the parties discussed issues related to strengthening military-technical relations, the dynamic development of cooperation between the defense industries of both countries, and regional security in the context of the challenges facing the North Atlantic Alliance.
“We primarily discussed industrial capabilities. One of the topics of our talks was the use of Bayraktar unmanned aerial vehicles. We want the capabilities for operating them to continue to grow. Military, political, and industrial cooperation is progressing very well. If Turkish investments in Poland and Polish investments in Turkey come to fruition, we will reach the target level of relations,” the head of the Ministry of National Defence emphasized.
Particular emphasis during the talks was placed on areas related to the potential transfer of modern technologies, cooperation in unmanned systems, and the exchange of operational experience.
