The Polish Ministry of Defense will appoint a special plenipotentiary responsible for working out departments’ Space policy.

A special plenipotentiary, who will be appointed by the head of the Polish MoD, Mariusz Blaszczak, will present the Chief of General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces with various programmes, projects and processes leading to the creation of new fields of military and defense related activity of the country.

A special focus will be put on: satellite imagery, observation, reconnaissance, situational awareness in Space, satellite-based telecommunication, military Sat-Nav or placing satellites in the orbit.

Furthermore, the new plenipotentiary will have to implement NATO’s guidelines for Space strategies of particular member states in areas of strategic planning, operational, industrial and scientific. He or she will also represent the MoD on international forums, such as NATO, EU, EDA and ESA.
