The talks aimed to strengthen bilateral defense cooperation and to exchange experience in modernization programs, as well as in the operation and sustainment of weapons systems and military equipment. Despite the geographical distance between them, both countries share a similar perception of the security environment, which is reflected in the implementation of ambitious modernization programs.
During the meeting, potential areas of cooperation were discussed in detail, including modernization priorities as well as equipment servicing and maintenance. An important element of the visit was the official invitation extended to the Australian side to participate in the 34th International Defence Industry Exhibition (MSPO) at Targi Kielce in 2026. The event will provide an ideal platform for showcasing Australian technologies and for establishing direct contacts with the Polish defense industry.
Deputy Minister Bejda also introduced the future Defence Attaché in connection with the planned opening of a Polish defense attaché office in Australia.
