“I am very pleased that the Polish Air Force University has received WB Group certification. This is an important step in strengthening national training capabilities and preparing operators of one of Poland’s most proven reconnaissance systems,” said Jarosław Czajka, WB Group’s Unmanned Systems Program Director, during the accreditation ceremony.
The successful completion of the procedure confirmed that the Polish Air Force University’s Unmanned Aircraft Personnel Training Center meets the unmanned systems manufacturer’s requirements and is prepared to provide specialized training in accordance with WB Group standards.
The FlyEye unmanned system, developed by engineers at Flytronic, WB Group’s center of competence for airborne systems, has been operated by the Polish Armed Forces and foreign users for 16 years.
Experience gained during operation of the system contributes not only to its continued development, but also to improvements in operator training, the quality of which is crucial to the effective use of unmanned reconnaissance systems.
The accreditation of the Polish Air Force University marks another stage in cooperation between WB Group and the university and confirms their shared commitment to developing a modern training system for unmanned systems personnel. By combining the manufacturer’s experience with the university’s instructional capabilities, Poland’s national expertise in the operation and employment of unmanned aircraft is being strengthened.

On December 18, 2024, WB Electronics delivered 13 FlyEye Miniature Unmanned Aircraft System sets to the Territorial Defence Forces and the Polish Air Force University. The systems had been ordered earlier that year.
On September 5, 2023, during the 31st International Defence Industry Exhibition in Kielce, a framework agreement was signed for the delivery of approximately 400 FlyEye Miniature Unmanned Aircraft System sets, with deliveries being implemented through successive executive contracts.
On May 28 this year, under the SAFE program, the Armament Agency ordered Warmate loitering munition systems, Gladius battery modules of unmanned reconnaissance-strike systems, and the FlyEye unmanned aircraft systems discussed above from WB Group for the operational forces and the Territorial Defence Forces. The FlyEye procurement covers 190 sets, including six for reconnaissance platoons of battalions equipped with K2GF and K2PL tanks, and 184 for the operational forces and the Territorial Defence Forces. The contract is worth approximately 1.3 billion PLN net, with deliveries scheduled for completion by the end of 2030.
