The document was signed by Adam Bartosiewicz, Vice President of WB Group, and Lt. Col. Bogumił Będkowski, Deputy Commandant of the Rocket Forces and Artillery Training Center (CSWRiA). Both sides emphasized the great importance of long-standing cooperation between industry and the military. These relations have played an important role in the development of modern artillery capabilities for the Polish Armed Forces.
“We treat artillery as our most important customer, because thanks to this cooperation WB Group has developed beyond expectations,” said Vice President Adam Bartosiewicz. “Cooperation with the Rocket Forces and Artillery is the foundation of WB Group’s activities.”
The scope of the agreement includes the development of joint training, demonstration, and expert initiatives, as well as analytical and organizational activities related to improving training processes and the use of systems. An important element of the cooperation is also the use of available training infrastructure.
The cooperation provides for joint promotional and information activities, as well as initiatives related to the presentation of solutions and competencies. It also covers adaptation and infrastructure projects related to the preparation and maintenance of training facilities. These activities are intended to directly support the process of educating and training specialists.
The signed agreement expands the existing cooperation and creates a framework for further joint activities. The goal of the cooperation is not only to develop training competencies, but also to make practical use of the knowledge and experience of both sides. The cooperation is part of the process of building modern artillery capabilities.
WB Group developed its key solutions in close cooperation with the Rocket Forces and Artillery. These include the TOPAZ and FONET systems, as well as earlier tools supporting artillery fire control, namely the UKART artillery calculator. The development of expertise in this area became the starting point for building a broader portfolio of systems.
Subsequent solutions were developed in response to specific needs of the Rocket Forces and Artillery. The introduction of unmanned systems resulted, among other factors, from the growing range of weapon systems, which required new reconnaissance capabilities. As a result, systems enabling long-range observation were developed.
An example of close cooperation is the creation of the Gladius reconnaissance-strike system. WB Group developed it in cooperation with the Rocket Forces and Artillery as a response to the need to integrate reconnaissance and strike capabilities. Gladius provides a unique capability in its class, combining various components within a single operational environment.
