On Friday, April 3, 2026, Zakłady Sprzętu Precyzyjnego (ZSP) Niewiadów, part of Niewiadów Polska Grupa Militarna (NPGM), signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Polish company Wifama. The agreement opens the way for the two companies to jointly offer military equipment to the Polish Armed Forces, in particular mines.

The purpose of the signed memorandum is to jointly offer the Armament Agency a broad portfolio of anti-personnel mines. The cooperation is to cover, in particular, directional, pressure-activated, and tripwire-activated mines, as well as other types of armament that may be produced and supplied by each party. Niewiadów and Wifama have already begun talks to establish permanent rules of cooperation. Both companies will jointly seek military contracts, which in the first instance means developing a unified offer for the Armament Agency.
“The signing of the memorandum with Wifama is an important step in implementing our strategy of supporting national security by delivering advanced solutions for the Polish Armed Forces. By combining our competencies and production potential, we are creating a strong partnership that will enable a comprehensive offering of modern mine systems for the Armament Agency. We are placing particular emphasis on diversifying the product range – from directional mines to pressure-activated and tripwire-activated types. I believe this cooperation will not only translate into increased potential for both companies, but above all will genuinely strengthen the operational capabilities of the Polish army,” said Adam Januszko, President of the Management Board of Niewiadów Polska Grupa Militarna.

The memorandum was concluded for a period of three years. The document is of a framework nature and, at this stage, does not impose any financial obligations on the parties. The detailed scope, schedule, as well as the principles of financing and settlement for future joint projects will each time be specified in separate implementing agreements.
The cooperation between Niewiadów Polska Grupa Militarna and Wifama comes at a time of change in the defense doctrine of Poland and the Baltic states, which is connected, among other things, with withdrawal from the Ottawa Convention and opening the way to the broad use of mine systems. The scale of the business opportunities is best illustrated by data from the Armament Agency – conducted consultations confirmed record demand on the Polish market, estimated at as many as 16.17 million units in the years 2026–2028. Such a significant volume of demand positions mine production as one of the key segments of the modernization of the Polish Armed Forces, offering the companies stable growth prospects.
