ATAX is a modular “Multi-Role” drop system that utilizes an airbag shock attenuation system, eliminating the need for Energy Dissipating Material (EDM) absorbers, which significantly reduces assembly and disassembly time. Each platform module measures 2.74 m x 2.46 m, making it compatible with existing drop systems. The platform is compatible with all popular cargo handling systems and is suitable for air drops from C-130, C-17, A400M, and KC-390 aircraft. ATAX is designed for use with standard cargo parachutes such as G11, G12, and SC 15.
The system uses shock-absorbing airbags that can be prepared in a cassette form and installed by a single person. The use of airbags eliminates the need for EDM (Energy Dissipating Material). This significantly reduces assembly and disassembly time, as well as the consumption of disposable materials. Vehicles can typically be mounted on the drop platform by four trained personnel within a matter of minutes and dismounted in the drop zone in less than five minutes. The ATAX platform is the most advanced solution in the parachute drop segment. It is either already in service, being implemented, or replacing older solutions in many armies around the world.
