On Wednesday, April 22, 2026, a decision-making briefing devoted to the use of artificial intelligence for the needs of the Polish Armed Forces was held at the Cyberspace Defence Forces Component Command (DK WOC). The event, organized by the Artificial Intelligence Implementation Center of the Cyberspace Defence Forces Component Command, brought together representatives of the Ministry of National Defence, the Polish Armed Forces, and partners from the scientific and industrial sectors.

During the meeting, the participants discussed in detail the progress of design and implementation work carried out by CISI under the AI Project Incubator, as well as the synergy between the potential of science and industry in the implementation of breakthrough technologies within the Ministry of National Defense. It was emphasized that the secure AIRON platform forms the foundation for implementing AI systems within the ministry’s structures.
The key point of the event was the premiere of the AIRON TACTIC platform, which adapts AIRON solutions to the EDGE AI architecture. By optimizing algorithms to operate on mobile devices and using dedicated GPU units, the system enables data to be processed directly where it is generated, eliminating the need for constant connectivity with central infrastructure. The solution focuses on augmenting the process of building situational awareness, bringing advanced data analytics directly to the tactical level.
An important part of the briefing consisted of presentations by representatives of the IDEAS Research Institute, who presented the results of work on the use of AI algorithms in decision-support processes. During practical demonstrations, scenarios for the operational use of these solutions were presented in the context of the development of AIRON TACTIC and its integration with command systems, including the BMS LEGION system. Experts from the IDEAS Research Institute discussed achievements to date and development directions aimed at accelerating situational-awareness building processes.
The event concluded with a discussion on the implementation potential of the technologies presented. The high value of the AIRON TACTIC platform was confirmed as an effective tool for work in environments without access to external computing power. To further improve its functionality, the platform will be verified under field conditions during upcoming exercises.
The entire undertaking confirmed the key role of CISI as an entity bringing together industry, science, and the military to build modern and secure AI tools that provide real support for the defense tasks performed by the Polish Armed Forces.
