On Wednesday, February 18, 2026, the Israeli company Elbit Systems announced that it had received an order worth approximately 277 million USD from an undisclosed export customer for the delivery of UT30 Mk2 unmanned turret systems, along with ammunition. The contract will be executed over a three-year period.

The UT30 Mk2 turret is equipped with a 30 mm U.S.-made Northrop Grumman ATK Mk 44 Bushmaster II automatic cannon, a coaxial 7.62 mm machine gun, and the capability to carry anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs). The integrated weapon and fire control systems, sensors, and human-machine interfaces incorporated into the UT30 Mk2 turret are designed to provide a significant enhancement in combat capabilities, situational awareness, and target detection and engagement effectiveness. The system also includes a protection suite offering various levels of protection, the Iron Fist active vehicle protection system, and additional countermeasures. The turret is rated at Level 4 ballistic protection in accordance with the STANAG 4569 standard.

Analysis
The Israeli manufacturer has not disclosed the identity of the customer. To date, the turret systems have been ordered by Romania for Piranha 5 wheeled infantry fighting vehicles, Austria for Pandur EVO 6×6 wheeled armored personnel carriers, and Latvia for Mednieks (Hunter) tracked infantry fighting vehicles based on the ASCOD 2 chassis. Both Romania and Latvia have announced plans to increase the number of vehicles on order.
