On Wednesday, February 4, 2026, the Czech company Czechoslovak Group (CSG) announced that it had signed an agreement with Turkey’s Aselsan to jointly establish a European Union–based joint venture. The company’s mission will be to integrate the Korkut anti-aircraft artillery system with the Tatra Force 6×6 chassis and bring the new product to market. The partnership aims to expand the partners’ combined defense capabilities across European and global markets.
The agreement represents an important step toward strengthening defense cooperation not only in Central and Eastern Europe, but also globally. The newly established joint venture will focus on technical cooperation in key areas, not limited to air defense, but also including electronic warfare (EW), smart munitions, and border security. As part of the localization effort, production is planned to be transferred to Czechoslovak Group facilities in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
One of the first tangible outcomes of this partnership will be the integration of the Korkut air defense system with the wheeled Tatra Force 6×6 platform. The system will be aimed at both European customers and the global market and is intended to serve as a fully capable alternative to comparable European air defense systems.
“The Korkut system represents a modern and highly effective air defense solution, particularly against enemy UAVs. It uses highly accurate, programmable ammunition, which in practice means that the cost of neutralizing a single UAV is comparable to the acquisition cost of the UAV itself. Such cost efficiency cannot be achieved by conventional missile-based air defense systems,” says Miloš Šivara, CEO of Excalibur International.
Taking into account the changes observed on the modern battlefield, which clearly highlight the growing importance of highly mobile and effective counter-unmanned aerial system (C-UAS) defenses, the Korkut system, integrated with the proven Tatra platform, is expected to quickly attract customer interest and secure a strong position on the international market.
In its baseline configuration, the Korkut fire unit (Silah Sistemi Aracı, SSA) mounted on the tracked FNSS ACV-30 chassis (ACV-AD) is armed with twin 35 mm KDC-02 automatic cannons with a theoretical rate of fire of 550 rounds per minute, fed by the ALAFM (Automatic Linkless Ammunition Feed Mechanism). Using programmable ammunition, the effective firing range reaches up to 4,000 meters. The vehicle is equipped with a fire-control radar and an electro-optical sensor suite. The system is complemented by a command and control vehicle (Komuta Kontrol Aracı, KKA) fitted with an all-round 3D surveillance radar with a range of up to 70 km. Overall, the system features a high level of automation.
Meanwhile, at last year’s DSEI 2025 exhibition in London, the Korkut 100/25 SB variant was unveiled on the wheeled Ejder Yalçın 4×4 armored vehicle produced by Nurol Makina. This version is armed with a single 25 mm KBA automatic cannon firing Aselsan-developed programmable 25×137 mm HEI-AB (High-Explosive Incendiary with Airburst) ATOM Airburst ammunition, specifically designed to counter unmanned aerial threats.
