On Thursday, June 11, 2026, Canadian company Allen-Vanguard, which specializes in CEMA (Cyber Electromagnetic Activities), announced that it had secured new contracts worth more than 3 million USD for its vehicle-mounted 3XXX ECM (Electronic Countermeasures) system and the highly adaptable, portable Scorpion 2 ECM system. The systems are intended to strengthen force protection and C-IED (counter-improvised explosive device) capabilities in two African countries. Allen-Vanguard will be present at Eurosatory 2026 in Paris, in Hall 5A at stand DE345, to discuss its full range of integrated products and RF (radio frequency) protection capabilities for countering modern threats.

Allen-Vanguard specializes in providing integrated, platform-agnostic RF (radio frequency) electronic warfare solutions, RCIED (radio-controlled improvised explosive device) countermeasures, and C-UAS (counter-unmanned aircraft systems) capabilities. The company has more than 25 years of operational experience in designing, developing, and deploying integrated, platform-agnostic systems tailored to counter evolving threats in high-risk environments. Its capabilities enable the detection, jamming, and protection of personnel on complex battlefields, supporting military, security, and public-safety forces worldwide. Allen-Vanguard combines proven technology with comprehensive training, threat-informed updates, and through-life support to ensure continued effectiveness and mission readiness in high-risk operational scenarios.
Due to the sensitivity and security risks associated with the customer’s theater of operations, it is not possible to disclose the purchasing countries or specify deployment plans for this new capability. However, these initial orders represent a significant improvement in force-protection capabilities for the end user. They will provide better protection for units, vehicles, and vulnerable points for security forces operating in high-risk RCIED environments, and will also help mitigate the growing threat posed by the use of unmanned aerial systems, such as drones, for aggressive ISTAR (intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition, and reconnaissance) activities or kinetic attacks.

The contracts include a full support package covering training for users and technicians, as well as mission-readiness development. This support includes the deployment of field service representatives to ensure the development of indigenous ECM capabilities, along with engagement with the Threat Management Team. A team of radio-frequency experts will optimize algorithms tailored to the end user’s needs in order to counter evolving threats specific to the region of operation. This full and comprehensive support package will maximize the protection provided by the ECM systems, both in terms of physical capability and the necessary changes to tactics, techniques, and procedures required to ensure user safety.
Stuart Wilson, Director Business Development & Marketing at Allen-Vanguard, said:
“We have a long history of providing force protection capability to African nations and associated peace-keeping forces, and we are extremely pleased to secure these new contracts to maintain and enhance this important relationship with the region. Unfortunately, the significant threat to security forces in Africa from UXOs, IEDs, RC-IEDs and other RF hazards remains high, and has only been exacerbated by the growing threat from UAS. Our systems are not only market leading in relation to their technology and capability, but our support packages also ensure purchasing nations improve their wider ECM capability and remain updated with the latest algorithms and software to maintain their protection. For this reason, we are trusted and operationally proven with NATO countries and peace-keeping forces globally.”
