In 2025, the company also recorded strong market growth in the unmanned aerial systems (UAS) segment. In terms of the number of bookings, Airbus Helicopters secured a 51% share of the civil and parapublic services market, while its share of the military market increased to 28%. In 2025, the company delivered 392 helicopters.
“Airbus Helicopters’ outstanding performance in 2025, marked by an order intake increase close to 20% in units, demonstrates that our modern civil and military portfolios are delivering the precise mission capabilities required in today’s complex environment,” said Bruno Even, CEO of Airbus Helicopters. “Our focus on defence and security has never been sharper. Furthermore, we are leading the shift toward UAS by integrating Survey Copter into our core operations, establishing a comprehensive range of tactical drones. By combining drones with our advanced and unique HTeaming capabilities, we provide a seamless, networked ecosystem for the modern battlespace. I want to thank our customers for their unwavering trust as we continue to pioneer the future of aerospace,” he added.
Łącząc drony z naszymi zaawansowanymi i unikalnymi możliwościami HTeaming [współpracy platform załogowych z bezzałogowymi – przyp. red], zapewniamy płynny, sieciowy ekosystem dla nowoczesnego pola walki. Chcę podziękować naszym klientom za ich niezachwiane zaufanie, ponieważ nadal jesteśmy pionierami przyszłości lotnictwa i kosmonautyki – dodał.
The year was marked by major government commitments, particularly from Spain, which placed a landmark order for 100 helicopters, including 50 H145Ms, 31 NH90s for all three branches of the armed forces, and the first orders for the H175M. Germany continued its modernization efforts by exercising an option for 20 additional H145Ms (bringing the total to 82), with the first helicopters already delivered. Meanwhile, the NH90 program gained new momentum: the Kingdom of the Netherlands added three helicopters to its fleet, Greece signed a key contract to continue support, and Germany received its first NH90 Sea Tiger, the latest evolution of world-leading anti-submarine and surface-warfare capabilities.
In the heavy segment, the Super Puma helicopter family demonstrated its versatility: Greece ordered eight H215 helicopters for firefighting missions. The H225M reached new milestones as Morocco signed a contract for ten Caracal helicopters, and the first deliveries to Iraq also took place. The light twin-engine segment was equally dynamic, Spain placed an order for 13 H135 helicopters, while the UK’s National Police Air Service ordered seven H135s. With 149 orders, the H145 once again confirmed its position as a bestseller across the civil, parapublic, and military markets.

Airbus Helicopters signaled a new chapter in vertical lift at Verticon 2025, unveiling the H140, a next-generation light twin-engine helicopter. Leveraging technological solutions such as a T-tail configuration, the H140 has already secured 61 orders. Innovation also reached a new level with the Racer demonstrator, which exceeded its original targets by achieving a cruise speed of 440 km/h (240 knots), thereby confirming Airbus’s ability to deliver high speed through a simpler, aerodynamically optimized architecture.
The company also created a comprehensive tactical drone offering by integrating Survey Copter into its core portfolio. Airbus signed its first unmanned aircraft contracts with Drone Forge and the European Maritime Safety Agency, both of which selected the Flexrotor, as well as with the French Ministry of the Armed Forces and Veterans, which ordered six maritime VSR700 systems. Through HTeaming, Airbus is pioneering manned–unmanned teaming, offering an autonomous solution that enables crews to manage unmanned systems in real time, enhancing mission capabilities.
This technological leap is reflected in the H160 program, under which its military variant, the H160M Guépard, conducted its maiden flight in July. The H160 confirmed its successful entry into service, capturing around 50% of the civil and public safety helicopter market in the medium twin-engine segment. The first H160 configured for law enforcement was delivered to the French National Gendarmerie, and the program expanded its mission set to include firefighting, with deliveries to the Hiroshima City Fire Bureau and an order from the Nagoya City Fire Bureau. The H160 also began offshore operations for the U.S. energy sector with operator PHI Aviation. In 2025, the H175 received 15 orders, strengthening its position in the super-medium helicopter segment.
To meet this unprecedented demand, Airbus Helicopters continued to expand its global industrial footprint. In 2025, work began on a new final assembly line (FAL) in Vemagal, Karnataka state, India. The facility, scheduled to open in the coming weeks, will become the world’s fourth H125 production site, reinforcing Airbus’s commitment to the Indian market and the resilience of its global supply chain.
Airbus’s full-year 2025 financial results will be published on February 19, 2026.
