The latest design is called the OPTIO Superlight High Cut. Like the other models in this helmet family, its ballistic shell is made of Polytanium, a material that is a hybrid of aramid fiber and titanium.
The OPTIO Superlight High Cut is the world’s lightest ballistic head-protection system meeting the requirements of the VPAM HVN2009 Level 3 standard.

The weight of the complete helmet without additional accessories starts at 1,000 g. The helmet is produced in a single universal shell size for different head circumferences. It has become a production tradition at ULBRICHTS GmbH that all new helmet models coming off the production line are made in bolt-free variants.
