The attack, carried out using FP-1 or FP-2 drones, was conducted by soldiers of the 1st Separate Center of the Unmanned Systems Forces.
It is worth noting that while the condition of the Tu-142 aircraft after the drone attack is unknown, these may be the first combat losses of this aircraft type during the ongoing war. Previously, nine Tu-95MS strategic bombers, NATO reporting name Bear, from which the Tu-142 is derived, had been destroyed or damaged.
Later, Maj. Brovdi reported that in a second attack, which covered 23 targets, the Shadow Fleet tanker Neftyanka and two oil terminals were hit: one owned by Kurgannaftoprodukt in Taganrog and the maritime terminal in Feodosia, in occupied Crimea. The attack was carried out by soldiers of the 412th Detachment of the newly formed Nemesis Deep Strike Center of the Unmanned Systems Forces.
