The Border Is Fully Secure
In the first quarter of 2026, Poland’s border achieved 100 percent integrity thanks to investments of around 3 billion PLN in modern infrastructure, including the strengthening of the physical barrier, the creation of an electronic barrier, and new monitoring and detection systems. During a briefing with the services, Minister of the Interior and Administration Marcin Kierwiński and Deputy Minister Czesław Mroczek announced the continuation of a “zero tolerance” policy toward illegal migration.
Minister Marcin Kierwiński emphasized the effectiveness of these measures, pointing to the issuance of nearly 15,000 return decisions in 2025, twice as many as in previous years.
Central Bureau of Investigation of the Police in the Fight Against Organized Crime
The Central Bureau of Investigation of the Police (CBŚP) inaugurated “TRIDENT,” a pilot international cooperation program targeting the smuggling of weapons and explosives from the East. The initiative includes police training and closer cross-border cooperation in response to threats stemming from the war in Ukraine. The project is being carried out in cooperation with Polish services and those of partner countries.
At the same time, the Bureau continues to fight organized crime. Last week, a group involved, among other things, in human trafficking and cryptocurrency money laundering was dismantled, with 10 people detained.
235th Anniversary of the Adoption of the Constitution of May 3
Two hundred and thirty-five years ago, Poland proved to the world that the foundation of our independence is a bold vision of the state and responsibility for future generations. The Constitution of May 3 is one of the most important symbols of our freedom and unity. Deputy Minister Czesław Mroczek took part in this year’s ceremonies at Castle Square in Warsaw.
The memory of this great heritage shapes our identity today and obliges us to work every day for a secure homeland.
