Changes have been introduced to the Small Arms Firing Programs (PSBS) to incorporate new training elements preparing soldiers to respond to drone-related threats. The updated programs include preparatory exercises and live-fire training aimed at improving operational effectiveness in an environment where unmanned aerial vehicles constitute a significant element of modern combat operations.
The training process has been developed in a comprehensive and systematic manner. It includes both individual and team training, conducted through various forms of combat training activities. Particular emphasis has been placed on developing proper habits, response skills, and cooperation among soldiers in threat situations, taking into account the rapidly changing conditions of the modern battlefield.
At the same time, issues related to countering drones and the use of unmanned aerial systems have been incorporated into the education and training of non-commissioned officers. In NCO schools, a dedicated module has been introduced within the basic course for NCO candidates, covering both countermeasures against drone threats and the practical aspects of their employment. This subject area is closely integrated with the existing training curriculum as well as with exercise and training scenarios.
These measures form part of the ongoing adaptation of the Polish Armed Forces training system to contemporary security challenges and lessons drawn from the observation of modern armed conflicts. Their objective is to enhance soldiers’ combat readiness and strengthen the Polish Armed Forces’ ability to respond effectively to new and evolving threats.
