Source of power
The new flashlight is powered by a single protected lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 5200 mAh. It can be charged using existing Stinger chargers or through a PiggyBack charger, which simultaneously charges an additional battery, doubling the runtime. A bank charger that supports 5 flashlights simultaneously is also available.
Operating modes
The Stinger 2020 S features a high-power LED, a head-mounted switch for momentary or constant operation, and an intensity mode selector switch with high, medium, or low intensity modes. In high intensity mode, the Stinger 2020 S achieves 2000 lumens, 25,000 candela, a beam range of 315 meters, and a runtime of 2 hours. In low intensity mode, the runtime is up to 24 hours with 100 lumens, 1200 candela, and a beam range of 70 meters. The strobe mode runs for 3.25 hours.
Materials and durability
he Stinger 2020 S features an aluminum housing and a BOROFLOAT glass lens that is impact-resistant and gasket-sealed. The flashlight measures 19.53 cm in length and weighs 346 g.
The model meets IPX7 protection standards, making it waterproof to a depth of one meter for 30 minutes. It is also tested for impact resistance from a height of up to 2 meters. Offered in black, the Stinger 2020 S is available in Standard, PiggyBack, and Light Only variants. Each model comes with Streamlight’s Limited Lifetime Warranty.
