Sightmark’s new red dot sight is intended for intensive use in a wide range of environments. Its enclosed design protects the emitter from water and debris — something hunters and demanding competition shooters will certainly appreciate. The optic uses the ACRO mounting standard, making it suitable for both handguns and long guns.
Closed‑emitter red dot sights are preferred by many sport shooters and professional users.
The sight incorporates a full set of features aimed at saving battery life and simplifying operation, all housed in a 6061‑T6 aluminum body.
No battery worries
Battery life is one of the most important parameters when choosing a red dot sight. Although runtimes of tens of thousands of hours have become standard, manufacturers continue to push for even more efficiency.
In the case of the Mini Shot M‑Spec Solar Enclosed M4, a single CR2032 battery is rated for up to 105,600 hours on the lowest brightness setting — thanks to the integrated solar panel. The Shake‑Awake function helps conserve power when the firearm is not in use: the sight automatically turns off after a period of inactivity and reactivates when the shooter presents the firearm.
Importantly, the battery compartment is located on the side, allowing battery replacement without removing the optic.
Built for field conditions
The enclosed housing protects the emitter from rain, mud, and powder residue. Additionally, the body meets IPX7 waterproofing standards and is rated to withstand drops from 1.5 meters. According to the manufacturer, the field of view is wider compared to older models.
Three reticles to choose
The user can choose between three red reticles:
• 3 MOA dot
• 32 MOA circle
• circle‑dot combination
Brightness is adjustable in 12 levels, with the lowest settings compatible with night‑vision devices. Sightmark also included a useful feature — a button lock to prevent accidental changes to brightness or reticle settings.
