In the case of the first vehicle type, Rostec points to design changes resulting, among other factors, from combat experience gained on the Ukrainian battlefield. According to the company’s statement, these include strengthened floor protection intended to improve resistance to anti-tank mines, as well as enhanced armor protection for the front and rear sections of the vehicle. Modules designed to increase roof protection had previously been introduced into serial production.

According to Rostec, the Russian defense industry is steadily increasing the production rate of BMP-3s in response to operational requirements and pressure to replace losses sustained on the battlefield. The BMP-3 is one of the principal armored vehicles used by mechanized units of the Russian Ground Forces.
Alongside the BMP-3 deliveries, Rostec also announced the start of deliveries of another serial batch of Tablet-M-IR artillery fire-control vehicles. These are currently supplied on armored wheeled chassis and are designed to control the fire of various types of artillery units operated by the Russian Ground Forces. Thanks to their extensive communications systems, commanders can rapidly receive information on enemy movements and positions, allowing them to make real-time decisions on opening fire as required. A new feature introduced with the latest batch is the ability to use remote terminals, enabling crews to operate outside the vehicles.
