“The signing of this agreement is an extremely important event for us and further confirmation that PONAR Wadowice’s technological solutions are valued by the most demanding partners from specialized market segments. Combining our expertise in power hydraulics with the experience of Szczęśniak Pojazdy Specjalne in designing and building special-purpose vehicles for rescue services, the military, and other customers will result in the creation of modern, advanced solutions that are important from the perspective of security and defense,” said Marek Warzecha, President of the Management Board of PONAR Wadowice.
“I am convinced that cooperation with PONAR Wadowice and the combination of our competencies will generate a strong synergy effect, further strengthening the position of Polish technology at the European level, allowing us to expand even more effectively on global markets, and contributing to increasing Poland’s security,” said Grzegorz Szczęśniak, President of the Management Board of Szczęśniak Pojazdy Specjalne.
The cooperation is part of building an alliance of domestic engineering companies developing state-of-the-art technologies for industry, transport, and many other sectors. In this context, production independence and the development of so-called local content are of key importance.
The strategic agreement, signed on April 23, is long-term in nature and covers, among other things, the supply of hydraulic systems for special-purpose vehicles, including tow tractors; the design, supply, installation, and servicing of hydraulic systems; the production of actuators and hydraulic block and distributor assemblies; and high-pressure water systems.
The parties also plan to jointly design and implement new solutions in the field of hydraulic drives and controls, further improve existing products, and develop new solutions in hydraulic drives and controls. An important element of the cooperation will also be the development of technologies for special-purpose vehicles, both wheeled and tracked, including for the defense sector. One area of cooperation is to be the supply of hydropneumatic suspensions for tracked vehicles.
The cooperation represents an important step toward strengthening the potential of the Polish technology and defense industry and building innovative solutions of strategic importance.
