“I invite everyone to invest in Poland. Economic indicators, workforce participation, and the commitment of energy and effort show clearly that today Poland is genuinely one of the best and very safest places to invest. We are investing in security, 200 billion PLN, a budget three times larger than four years ago, we are building the third-largest army in the North Atlantic Alliance, protecting our borders, ensuring security, and strengthening public awareness,” said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz during his visit to Niepołomice.
“We are in the special investment zone in Niepołomice. We are at one of the companies that effectively initiated the development of this major investment zone. It is a flagship brand, known not only in Poland and Germany, but worldwide. Thank you very much for that. Thank you for these years of presence, for the generations who have already been able to work here, and for preserving the STAR brand in Starachowice. This is very important to us. We are sentimental and attached to certain symbols and hallmarks in manufacturing, especially in the automotive sector. (…) It is important to connect and build a great economy, Polish and European, together. First and foremost, I wanted to tell you that Poland is a safe place to invest. I wanted to tell you that it is one of the best places to invest in Europe and in the world, because we have excellent workers, very strong academia, and good partners and entrepreneurs you work with – suppliers, sub-suppliers, and subcontractors,” the Deputy Prime Minister said at the event.
The MAN Trucks plant in Niepołomice near Kraków is one of the youngest production sites and an integral part of the manufacturing network of the MAN Truck & Bus SE Group. The company ranks among the leading European and global manufacturers of heavy-duty vehicles and operates one of the most modern truck assembly halls in the world. The facility is located within a special investment zone for the Wieliczka County. In addition to vehicle production, investments at the MAN Trucks site also include the manufacture of automotive batteries and dual-use vehicles – particularly important for users such as the Polish Armed Forces.
“I had the opportunity to familiarize myself with the company’s plans here – in Niepołomice and in Starachowice. They are very impressive. This means it will be a major investment in Poland. From our side, I would like to emphasize – as the CEO highlighted in his welcome – that cooperation between local and central government authorities is genuinely taking place. Caring for residents and employees is a matter of utmost importance to us, and it is worth uniting different communities around this goal, setting emotions aside, and working together to develop road and rail infrastructure as well as facilities for large investments – such as the major special investment zone operating here,” added the head of the Ministry of National Defence.
